Yungblud Returns With New Single
Yungblud is back with his powerful new single, “Hello Heaven, Hello.” Check it out below.
A Deep Dive Into The Song
The track runs for nine minutes and six seconds and features three tempo changes, highlighted by a stark choir midway through. The artist, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, sings, “One step to heaven / But first you will go to hell and back” over heavy guitars and drums.
Following that, “Hello Heaven, Hello” transitions into a more intimate acoustic jam, showcasing a vulnerable Harrison with the line: “There is a chance that I will not see you tomorrow / so I will spend today to say hello”.

In a press release, the Doncaster musician shared, “Rock music is in my DNA.” He described “Hello Heaven, Hello” as a journey of reconnecting with his past and envisioning his future.
Directed by Charlie Sarsfield (known for his work with Billie Eilish, Stormi, and Jesse Nelson), the music video opens with Yungblud shirtless, singing in a snowy landscape adorned with black roses and a horse. He rides the horse as he journeys, ultimately sprouting black wings and taking flight.
The new scene showcases black-and-white visuals, with Jungblud and his band performing in a vibrant studio while confetti rains down. In another segment of the video, Harrison is seen reflecting as he leans against a black cross while singing the last part of the track, wearing a black shirt and vest.
Harrison mentioned that he wrote the song four years ago while staying in a New York hotel. “I felt like I was starting to get repetitive—I fell into my own clichés… I became comfortable,” he explained.
“Hello Heaven, Hello” marks his first single since “Gap” in 2024 and is also the first track after his 2022 LP of the same name.
“I was discouraged from releasing a nine-minute, six-second song as my first move in a year because, in today’s world, it’s seen as a ‘risk,’” he stated. “I don’t view it that way at all—I see it as an opportunity.”
Recently, Yungblud shared his thoughts about his upcoming album inspired by Britpop, declaring that he has “never felt clearer and more proud of what he has done.”
Back in December, he spoke with NME, providing insights about his forthcoming projects, including a “double album” on the way.
“The new album focuses on the theme of self-love and self-promotion, which enables people to feel seen and radiate their light,” he elaborated.

Last March, he discussed with NME regarding the stylistic content of his next album, drawing inspiration from Britpop icons like Oasis, The Verve, Primal Scream, My Chemical Romance, David Bowie, and Madonna.
Harrison emphasized that the mantra of this record is about connection and unity, saying, “It’s about coming together, looking each other in the eye, rather than saying: ‘Fuck it, this is the world that we have to live in.’”
Describing the album as a conceptual piece, he continued, “This is like ‘Tommy’ and ‘Quadrophenia.’ It’s heavier than anything I’ve done before.”
“We locked ourselves in a studio in Leeds and simply felt, figuring out what art truly is,” he noted.
In other news, Yungblud’s second annual festival, Bludfest, is scheduled to take place this summer, featuring performances by Chase Atlantic, Denzel Curry, Blackbear, and others. Visit here for tickets to Bludfest 2025.
