Launched today (January 3), “WHAM” (short for “Who Hard As Me”) contains 15 tracks and features collaborations with artists like GloRilla on “Readbone,” Rod Wave and Rylo Rodriguez on “Readbone,” as well as Travis Scott on “Stuff” and 21 Savage on “Outfit.”
Collaborations and Notable Verses
Significantly, Lil Baby is joined by Future and Young Thug on “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber,” which represents Young Thug’s first verse since he was released from prison last year. In a reflective pause before his verse, he raps: “I can’t even believe I got locked up, really, really / I got my way all along, fool, you know what I’m saying?”
When I said that these American bitches are kind of bad, I meant “bad girls”, not ugly girls… we have the most beautiful girls on earth…

Earlier today, Thug took to his official X/Twitter account to clarify one of his lines on the track, stating: “When I said these American bitches are some bad, I meant ‘bad girls,’ not ugly girls… we have the most beautiful girls on earth…”
Young Thug’s Legal Troubles
Back in 2022, Young Thug (real name Jeffrey Lamar Williams) was arrested and spent two years in prison on gang-related charges before being hit with seven more felonies. He was released in November after pleading guilty to gang, drug, and weapons charges, concluding the longest criminal trial in Georgia history.
The “Slime Language” rapper was initially arrested alongside fellow artist Gunna, both associated with the music collective YSL (Young Stoner Life), which prosecutors accused of functioning as a “criminal street gang.”
Both artists denied the charges, with Young Thug being denied bail three times.
“WHAM” marks Lil Baby’s first full-length release since 2022’s “It’s Only Me.” In a three-star review, NME noted, “Fortunately, closer ‘Russian Roulette’ wraps the album with a mood that mirrors its opening track, as Lil Baby explores the deeper aspects of his musicianship. ‘If ‘It’s Only Me’ had the trimmings removed, it could have rivaled his previous releases – instead, it falls several notches short of greatness.”
In other news, Young Thug recently made his first appearance since the trial in an Instagram video with T.I.
