Itzi Screction Oshi’s Solo Debut
ITZI SCRECTION OSHI made her solo debut with the release of her first mini-album “Air,” accompanied by a music video for the title track.
Both the album and the video were launched by her JYP Entertainment label on March 10, marking the first solo release from an Itzy member since their debut as a quintet in 2019. The song was notably penned by JYP Entertainment’s founder, J.Y. Park. In addition to the title track, the “Air” mini-album features three additional B-sides: “Invasion,” “I Can’t Slow Me Down, No,” and “258.”
Music Video and Concept
The music video for the main single, also titled “Air,” showcases the K-Pop star performing in an empty warehouse. Field “Put my air / The most irresistible feeling, oh baby / I got into my prayers / Every moment when you remain concentrated,” she sings in a synthesizer chorus.

“The message of ‘Air’ is about demonstrating my presence, my aura, through my first solo debut. There’s a lyric that says: 'You put me in the spirit'. When I think about those stunning moments, they have always been on stage,” the Itzy leader shared about the recording in a press interview, according to Korea Herald.
“Last year, I felt like I was in a rut, repeating the same schedule. That’s when the solo opportunity arose, and for me, it was a chance. Through this process, I realized how much I love what I do,” she expressed regarding her decision to pursue solo music.
Itzy’s Latest Activities
Itzy consists of Ryujin, Chaeryeong, Lia, and Yuna. The K-Pop girl group last released music together in October 2024 with “Gold,” their ninth mini-album. This album featured a title track of the same name and the B-side “Imaginary Friend,” which shortly received a music video after the album’s release.
The mini-album “Golden” also celebrated Itzy’s music as a full group of five after a year since vocalist Lia returned from a health-related hiatus. The project notably included re-recorded versions of tracks from their mini-album “Born,” released in January 2024, which largely featured the group without Lia.
