“So, yes… this must have been 2025… And we… we have not often played concerts in Blackpool… Usually, we just went once to support the foals in the Empress’s ballroom,” said frontman James Smith.

“But for some reason, this year, we booked a warm-up in BlackPool Tower. Um…”

Jard Act released his second and final studio album “Where is my utopia?” in March 2024.

In a four-star review, NME noted that the project “marks the outlandish but assertive second chapter for the courtyard, resonating with the special world in which we find ourselves.”

Speaking with NME, Smith shared his insights about the record in October 2023, stating that it is “about hope and perseverance.”

“Much of what we have always done is based on the state of society and our commentary on The Times, but this is more universal,” he continued. “People have always been drawn to our ambitions.”

“In a world where we currently have supermarkets for food and homes to live in, as soon as we establish the foundations, our thoughts will strive for other things that we believe are important, as we are not content with mere sustenance.”

Last year, Act ACT toured across Britain and Europe to support the album, which included a performance at Eventim Apollo in London. In a four-star review of this performance, NME praised the “group’s display for the grand finale of the tour.”
