Winter Gardens Embrace Greed with New Single from Upcoming March EP

New Single Release

Winter gardens has unveiled their latest single 'Anthropocene', marking another step in the journey of their upcoming EP “uncomfortable/unattractive”, set to be released on March 26.

Musical Collaboration and Sound

The Brighton Quartet, with the help of Luke Marsden for design and mixing, and Andy Miles for mastering at Star Delta, showcases a unique blend of synthesizers, piano, and electronics paired with live drums and guitar riffs, all under the influence of the Shoegaze genre.

Reflections on Modern Society

“Anthropocene reflects our increasing pursuit of pleasure and satisfaction, often at the expense of more significant issues,” the band shares. “In a time of rampant consumption, materialism, and endless greed, we seldom pause to reflect on the actual worth of our indulgences. From human exploitation to animal suffering and environmental degradation, our immediate gratification frequently takes precedence. This relentless pursuit of personal desires has culminated in a world where we expect comfort and convenience, turning a blind eye to long-term repercussions. Ultimately, it is the planet and its inhabitants who bear the cost for our short-term satisfaction.”
