Malone collaborated with the ska-punks for a rendition of “What I Got” in Cancun, Mexico. Quest, aimed at employees, is advertised as “part music festival, part wellness getaway, part beach getaway.”

Absence of Rome Ramirez

Vocalist and guitarist Rome Ramirez, who briefly led Sublime under the moniker Sublime With Rome, was absent from the event. He will wrap up his time with the band this year after they started performing with late frontman Bradley Nowell’s son, Jacob, on vocals at Coachella this spring.

Upcoming Biopic and New Music

In September, it was confirmed that Riverdale star KJ Apa has been cast as the late Bradley Nowell in the upcoming biopic about Sublime. Although the film has yet to be titled, it will be directed by Justin Chon, known for his work on Blue Bay and several episodes of Pachinko.

The biopic was first announced in 2022, with the band’s two surviving members—bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Bud Go—serving as executive producers. A recent report from Deadline confirms their continued involvement, along with Nowell’s widow Troy and their son Jacob, who will also be executive producers.

While a release date for the Sublime biopic has not been announced, it is reportedly already in production.

In a noteworthy return, Sublime released their first new song in 28 years, titled “Feel Like That,” which features vocals from Jacob and an archived chorus performed by Bradley before his passing.

In other news, it was recently announced that Malone will headline Coachella 2025. This comes on the heels of his “Big Ass Stadium Tour” planned for the US in 2025, featuring support from Jelly Roll and Sierra Ferrell.
