Lizzo’s Latest Performance

Lizzo performed the mixture of “Still Bad” and “Love in Real Life” Saturday evening on the air yesterday (April 12) – Watch the frames below.

Details About Her Upcoming Album

Last month, Lizzo announced that her fifth studio album “Love in Real Life” was “finished,” having previously teased the follow-up to “Special” (2022) with the title track and the irreconcilable single “Still Bad,” which was one of the three tracks from the upcoming record that she performed as a musical guest last night.

Presented by Mad People star John Hamm, she united him with “Love in Real Life,” starting the performance by playing the guitar before the dancers joined them for the second part of the medley.

The sports peak, as noted by Tarricified, joined the rest of the actors in poking fun at the Trump administration after it imposed import tariffs from several countries, leading to significant challenges in the live music industry and causing “damage” in the instrument market.

During her second performance, she showcased “I Do Not Force Me to Love You,” which has been reported to be from the upcoming album and was partially inspired by her personal experiences.

“This time I really feel that I was in the stars,” she shared. “The way we found him, I said: ‘Wow, I am one of them now.’ I can tell this story. I was so excited to share this with you seven months ago when we discovered this sound.”

Ahead of the performance, she appeared on Especially with Jaeh Schetti podcast, where the singer contemplated taking a “year of break” from music in 2024, ahead of the “Love in Real Life” era in February.

“I don’t feel that I have completely expressed myself over the past two years as I want. I feel like I’ve kept my tongue tied and my love close to my heart, but I think it’s for the better, because you know, they run these days,” she said.

“Sometimes it’s just more unnecessary, and it can lead to misunderstandings because people misinterpret things and run with it. I found that when I was like to myself: ‘I’m taking a year, I’m protecting my world.’ But then people were like, ‘Wait, so what does this mean?’”

Additionally, Lizzo noted that earlier this year she achieved her goals of “weight release,” encouraging her followers: “Let this be a reminder that you can do whatever you set your mind to.”

A month prior, she also addressed the sexual harassment claim filed against her in 2023, asserting that she “did nothing wrong.” She faced a lawsuit from three former dancers who alleged sexual harassment and a hostile work environment during her tour. Lizzo denied the allegations and mentioned that the situation made her contemplate leaving the music industry.
