Lady Gaga’s Captivating Performances

Lady Gaga gave attractive performances of two tracks from her new album “Mayhem” on Saturday evening on the air last night – look below.

Performance Highlights

The singer pulled out a double service on March 8, accepting the show, and also served as a music guest. With her appearance occurring a day after the release of her seventh record, she took the opportunity to showcase two songs.

The first was the single “Abracadabra”, where Gaga dazzled with a mutant dance number set within a claustrophobic neon structure surrounded by angular dancers. See here:

The second was the funk-infused “Killah”, which she began in the backstage corridors of the famous studio 8H, before joining her full live band on stage. This track, reminiscent of David Bowie’s “Young Americans”, showcased Gaga beating the drums before reaching a climactic moment. Check it out here:

This marked the fifth time she has performed at the long-running sketch show and her second term as the host, occurring just weeks after her appearance at a celebration for the show’s 50th anniversary, where she collaborated with Andy Samberg for an unexpected mix including “Dick in a Box”.

NME awarded “Mayhem” four stars, noting: “Ultimately, ‘Mayhem’ feels like a great Gaga album because it is simply fun. Sometimes it’s a bit like reuniting with an old friend who feels right, even when they seem to be speaking nonsense.”

Lady Gaga also delighted fans in Mexico by announcing her performance in the country for the first time in 13 years. On April 26, the pop icon will take the stage at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City, where she is expected to perform several songs from “Mayhem.”

News of this show surfaced shortly after the ‘Paparazzi’ hitmaker revealed she would hold a monumental free concert for over a million fans on Copacabana Beach in Rio this May.
