Elton John and Brandi Carlisle’s Musical Collaboration

Elton John and Brandi Carlisle came together to perform “Bible of Little Richard” and “Who Believes in Angels” on Saturday evening on the air – Watch the frames below.

Details of Their Joint Album

Both tracks are featured on their joint album “Whoever Believes in the Angels”, which was released on Friday (April 4). Drawing inspiration from the “Bible of Little Richard” of the 50s, the title track of the album saw John at the piano for an impressive solo, while Carlisle played the guitar.

Hosted by the renowned Jack Black, with CD Smith on the drums, the duo performed in front of Retro LED signs, one of which lit up to read: “Who Believes in the Angels?” as they delivered the song.

Their new album includes contributions from Pino Palladino (Nine Inch Nails, Gary Numan, David Gilmour), Josh Klinghoffer (Pearl Jam, Beck), in addition to the drummer from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The recent single “Swing for the Fences” and last year’s “Never Too Late” are also part of this project.

This latest album follows their collaborative LP released during the lockdown, which featured artists like Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, Stevie Nicks, and Lil Nas X.

John’s 31st solo album, titled “Heart Sergeant”, was released earlier this year but was initially recorded back in the 60s. Its predecessor, “Wonderful Crazy Night”, was released in 2016.

Earlier this year, Carlisle revealed that the “Rocket Man” icon broke his iPad and encouraged her to take a longer break to focus on creating her new album.

“As soon as we worked through the first three songs, we realized we had something. I felt much more relaxed… But I was a bit of a nightmare,” she said.

Meanwhile, the 78-year-old John spoke about how the new song on the LP, which confronts mortality, made him reflect deeply on how much time he has “left.” At the end of last year, he informed fans that he had “lost (his) vision” due to a “severe eye infection.”
