The celebration took place on January 24 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the Cain Ballroom, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Blood on the Tracks.

Bob Dylan’s Legacy

Released in January 1975, this LP was Bob Dylan’s 15th studio album and remains one of his most celebrated works. To honor this significant milestone, a variety of musicians gathered to perform covers of each track on the album.

Among those who celebrated Dylan that night were Elvis Costello, Adam Granduciel, and Lucinda Williams, along with the house band consisting of the Chatham County Line, Brad and Phil Cook, Ben Falls, Darren Jesse, and Doug Keith. Luke Wilson served as the evening’s host.

According to Stereogum, the iconic album was first recorded in New York in September 1974, with several songs re-recorded in Minneapolis shortly before its release. Notable musicians present during the final recording session included Bill Berg, Gregg Inhofe, Kevin Odegard, and Billy Peterson, all of whom also performed at the Oklahoma event.
