Taylor Swift’s New Music Updates
Taylor Swift is currently working on new music, as revealed by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The pop star launched her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, last April. This album marked the first half of a “secret double album,” with The Anthology completing the 31-track collection.

Grammy Nominations and Tour Success
Last November, Tortured Poets received a nomination for Album of the Year at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Swift has previously won this award for Fearless (2008), 1989 (2014), Midnight (2022), and Folklore (2020).
In the latest episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelsey, who has been in a relationship with Swift since 2023, suggested that more new material from the singer-songwriter is on the horizon.
This comes after Swift concluded her record-breaking 149-show Eras Tour in Canada last month.
During the show, McAfee asked Kelsey about the experience of being around Swift when her creativity is “bubbling,” to which the NFL player mentioned that he would “never interfere” with her writing process.
“But I’m here to support it,” he emphasized (via Billboard). “I’m here to see where this can go, you know what I mean?”
You continue to represent football in a BEAUTIFUL way. @tkelce 👏

Future Album Speculations
McAfee joked that Swift might create an album about a “nice guy,” humorously noting that she has previously examined her “asshole” exes in earlier records. Kelsey replied, “I don’t know. There may be several…”
However, he refrained from sharing any specifics, adding: “You know, I can’t say, you know, I can’t say… any of this. I hear music everywhere.” You can view an excerpt of the discussion above, along with the full podcast.
In her song “So High School” from Department of Tortured Poets: An Anthology, Swift seems to reflect on her romance with Kelsey.
She also appears to reference a resurfaced clip of a footballer playing “Marry, Kiss, Kill” within the track, in which Kelsey chooses between Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, and his current partner, Swift.
Last summer, Swift invited Kelsey on stage during her performance of “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” at Wembley Stadium in London. The NFL player later expressed that he felt “honored” to stand beside such a “true showman” like her.
Since 2020, Swift has released four studio albums (Folklore, Evermore, Midnights, and Tortured Poets), alongside four of her six planned re-recordings, with 1989 (Taylor’s Version) being the most recent.
In other news, Swift’s Tortured Poets has achieved the status of the UK’s best-selling vinyl album of 2024, marking the third consecutive year that the singer topped the list, following her victories with 1989 (Taylor’s Version) in 2023 and Midnight in 2022.
Meanwhile, Joe Alwyn expressed hope that people will “move on” from his previous relationship with Swift.
