Travis Barker’s Children Evacuate Due to Wildfires
Travis Barker’s children Landon and Alabama fled their home due to devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.
Both children of the legendary Blink-182 drummer took to their official social media accounts to reveal that they fled their home following the Pacific Palisades wildfires that spread across Los Angeles and destroyed the city.
According to Billboard, Landon, 21, posted a selfie to his Instagram Stories with the caption: “Just evacuated, praying for everyone (affected by) the fires.”
His sister, Alabama Barker, also shared the update on her Instagram Stories and wrote, “Just evacuated my home due to the Los Angeles wildfires please be careful!! They say fires engulf a football field in seconds.” In a separate story, she wrote, “Pray for California.”
Impact of the Wildfires
Earlier this week (January 7), a series of raging wildfires engulfed Los Angeles, California and continue to rage. The wildfires have forced more than 150,000 residents from their homes, with thousands of homes, vehicles and more destroyed.
The entertainment world has responded to the current state of bushfires. Star Wars legend Mark Hamill said he had to evacuate his home in Malibu. Mandy Moore and James Woods were also among those to flee their homes in the state, with the latter breaking down on television discussing the loss of his home. He had documented the destruction as he ran to safety.
“One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone,” he said to CNN after confirming a fire had claimed his home in Pacific Palisades. He also broke down, remembering his eight-year-old niece’s innocent offer of help. “She came out with her little yeti piggy bank so we could rebuild our house,” he said, wiping away tears.
A fundraiser for DIIV frontman Zachary Cole Smith has been launched after his home burned down in a fire. According to GoFundMe Campaign created by their friend Lindsey Hartman, Smith and his family are safe, but unfortunately their home was destroyed by fire.
Hartman wrote: “Dani is also six months pregnant, which makes this already terrible event even more unbearable. This house contained all of their belongings (clothing, family heirlooms, valuables) as well as all of Cole’s music equipment, the family car, and all of the baby supplies for Roy and the new baby that would be on the way.”
The Kills frontwoman Alison Mosshart recently criticized Donald Trump amid ongoing wildfires in California, saying it will be “harder” to rebuild communities once he takes office.
Musicians such as Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande were quick to share links to resources on social media, while others spoke about their experiences with the evacuation. Others also shared their condolences with people affected by the tragedies, with thousands of homes, belongings, and more being burned to the ground.

Crystal, known for his roles in Monsters Inc. and When Harry Met Sally, confirmed in a statement that his home in Pacific Palisades, where he had lived for 46 years, was destroyed.
“Words cannot describe the scale of destruction that we are witnessing and experiencing,” he said. “We are cheering for our friends and neighbors who also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy. Janice and I have lived in our house since 1979.
“We raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our home was filled with love. Wonderful memories that cannot be taken away. We are, of course, heartbroken, but with the love of our children and friends we will get through this.”
Hilton shared her experience of watching her house burn on TV. “Heartbroken beyond words,” she wrote on her blog. Instagram. “Sitting with my family, watching the news and seeing our house in Malibu burn to the ground on live television is something no one should ever have to experience.
