Travis Barker honors firefighters
Travis Barker paid tribute to the incarcerated firefighters who are assisting in battling wildfires in Los Angeles, labeling them as “heroes.”

Meeting the heroes
The Blink-182 drummer met up with a group of individuals who were working tirelessly to extinguish the destructive fires in the city and shared a heartfelt message to them on his Instagram Story.
“These guys are heroes,” he stated. “They put their lives on the line to serve people. Save people. Help people. And in the process become men.”
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, in collaboration with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, runs a program aimed at training inmate volunteers to serve as firefighters. Participants must fulfill specific criteria to qualify for the program, including having non-violent offenses.
