Tom York and Mark Pritchard Collaborate
Tom York and Mark Pritchard have announced a new collaborative track titled “Back in the Game,” which was released on February 13.
Teasers and History
The track was initially unveiled by Yorke during his solo tour in Krakstcher, New Zealand, back in October of last year. Both artists have since shared sneak peeks of the upcoming release, with Pritchard posting an abstract video featuring pulsating music and the caption: “Back in the Game. 02/13/25. Register for updates.” This post garnered attention, tagged by Yorke, Warp Records, and artist Jonathan Zavada.
This collaboration adds to the series of joint projects between Yorke and Pritchard, following their work on “Beautiful People” in 2016, which was part of Pritchard’s “Under The Sun” album. Their creative relationship began with Pritchard’s remix of Radiohead’s “Bloom” in 2011.
“I really don’t care about the expectations,” Yorke recently stated when discussing rumors about the future of Radiohead. “No one is offended, and there’s no misunderstanding. We’ve earned the right to do what makes sense for us, without needing to explain ourselves or justify any historical notions of what we should do.”
The new track comes on the heels of Yorke’s recent work with Smile, which released its “CUCTOUT” album in collaboration with the London Modern Orchestra, recorded at Oxford and Abbey Road Studios.
