Tom Grennan has unveiled his uplifting new single “Shadowboxing” alongside the announcement of his upcoming album “Wherever I Went to Me Where I Do Not Want.” Check it out below.
New Album Release Details
The new album, which marks the fourth collection of singer-songwriter tracks, is set to be released on August 15 and is available for pre-order here.
Creative Process and Themes
As per the press release, the album was produced by Justin Tripher, known for his work with Britney Spears and Linkin Park, and focuses on themes of self-confidence and the courage to take risks.
Grennan shared: “This album reflects my revival. I’m now in the place where I want to be and ready to blow people away.”
His new single, which you can listen to below, follows his festive release, “This Cannot Be Christmas.”
“The whole album talks about my struggles and the challenges I face daily. I’ve learned to confront these demons, and now I feel both mentally and physically ready—I’m in athlete mode,” he expressed.
Additionally, the singer-songwriter is embarking on a tour across the UK and Ireland, starting in Bournemouth on September 3 and culminating in Manchester on September 19, with a notable performance at O2 Arena in London on September 6.
Fans who pre-order Tom Grennan’s new album by Tuesday (February 4) at 3 PM GMT will gain exclusive access to early ticket sales on the following day (February 5) at 10 AM.
