At the film’s Paris premiere last Wednesday (January 15), Chalamet took time on the red carpet to snap photos and sign autographs. One fan captured his attention, holding a vinyl copy of Sivan’s 2023 album, Something to Give Each Other.

Memorable Moments on the Red Carpet

Chalamet couldn’t help but laugh when he saw the vinyl, asking a friend to quickly take a photo before he autographed it as “Troe Sivan.”

In 2023, Chalamet hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live, where he humorously impersonated Sivan as a sleep demon in one of the sketches. “I’m an Australian YouTube twink turned indie pop star and a model turned HBO actor Troye Sivan, played by an American actor who can’t do an Australian accent,” he quipped. Chalamet cheekily described Sivan as a “wetted Machine Gun Kelly.”

Chalamet even performed a dance routine from Sivan’s “Got Me Started,” which culminated in him pulling down his pants to show off bright red underwear.

Sivan’s Reaction and Movie Reflections

Sivan shared his thoughts on Chalamet’s parody, mentioning in a TikTok that it felt like “a weird f—ing dream,” humorously noting, “Imagine… Timothée Chalamet was in my dreams, but he was me and wore my clothes.”

In a four-star review of Complete Unknown, NME‘s Alex Flood remarked, “If you’re new to Bob, you’ll leave the theater eager to explore his back catalogue. If you’re already a fan, you’ll find yourself compiling playlists of hidden B-sides or uncovering scenes you weren’t aware of. That’s why making this film was a worthy endeavor—a crazy idea, but a worthy one.”

Reflecting on his role as Bob Dylan, Chalamet explained to NME: “I had time to work 10,000 hours, which in three or four months is really impossible… There was no deadline for this. I didn’t study for anyone else. I studied for myself.”

In other news, Chalamet recently faced a fine for riding a LimeBike to the film’s UK premiere. Complete unknown.
