The university unveils its first album, “McCartney: Everything Will Be Fine”

University’s Debut Album Announcement

University has unveiled their debut album “McCartney, everything will be in order”, set to release on June 20 through Transgressive. The band, known for their four-part harmony, has also released a new single 'Curwen'.

Recording Process and Artistic Vision

The album was recorded with producer Kwes Darko at Damon Albarn’s Studio 13 in London, continuing the legacy of their previous capital track EP from 2023. Remarkably, the new record was captured live, maintaining the band’s signature chaotic energy.

Joel Smith elaborates: “The letter was a conscious choice to enhance emotional diversity. It embodies a broader spectrum of feelings. We now have a more carefree image of our group. Our sound has evolved from the EP to something more vibrant. We draw influences from various emo and music styles, creating an experience that resonates deeply, akin to a white album.”

Insights on the New Single

Regarding the new single “Curwen,” the band describes it as: “Pale sunlight granite on timid concrete, time jumps like a broken typewriter, the future has passed, and the past does not matter, the face falling into the soup of the animal time.”
