Top Vinyl Albums and Singles of 2024 Revealed
The UK’s top-selling vinyl albums and singles for 2024 have been announced, with Taylor Swift and Liam Gallagher leading their respective charts.

Taylor Swift’s Record-Breaking Success
Swift’s eleventh album, The Tortured Poets Department, has topped the vinyl albums of the year list, with total sales reaching 112,000 records (via Official Chart Company). This album has achieved record-breaking sales, with no other album in this century selling as many copies in its first year of release; 66,000 copies were sold in just the first week.
This marks the third consecutive year Swift has topped the UK Vinyl Albums Chart, following ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ at number one in 2023 and ‘Midnights’ in 2022. Her previous albums will also chart in 2024, occupying positions 20 (1989), 38 (Midnights), and others featuring “Lover” (29), “Folklore” (30), and “Evermore” (36).
Notable Albums and Singles of 2024
Second place on the list goes to the 30th anniversary reissue of Oasis’ classic 1994 debut album Definitely Maybe, which sold over 50,000 copies since its September release, landing at number one on the overall albums chart.
Completing the top five are significant albums of 2024: Chappelle Roane’s “The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short N’ Sweet,” and Fontaines DC’s “Romance.” Billie Eilish’s “Hit Me Hard And Soft” came in sixth.
The vinyl album chart also showcases timeless classics like Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours” (seventh) and Amy Winehouse’s “Back To Black” (13th), along with emerging names such as Charlie XCX’s “Brat” (10th) and “Prelude to Ecstasy” by The Last Supper (12).
Additionally, The Cure’s “Songs Of A Lost World” and Coldplay’s “Moon Music” secured spots in the top ten at numbers 8 and 9, respectively.
Liam Gallagher and John Squire’s “Just Another Rainbow” claimed the top of the 2024 Vinyl Singles Chart, outpacing Chappell Roane’s viral hit “Good Luck, Babe!” and Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season,” which has been recognized as the overall most popular song of the year.
This year, the vintage singles continue to make waves, featuring Oasis’ “Supersonic” (fourth) and Wham!’s “Last Christmas” (fifth), while Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s “Murder On The Dancefloor” is also gaining traction, ranking 25th by the year’s end.
Standout hits of 2024 also include Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” (10), Dua Lipa’s “Houdini” (11), and Ariana Grande’s “Yes, And.”
