The Rebrand of New-Ajian in NJZ: A “Deeply Regretful” Shift from the Former Label Ador

Announcement of New Name

The former label from New Dzhantsev Ador has described the group’s shift towards rebranding as NJZ as “deeply regrettable” in a new statement.

Upcoming Performance

The K-POP group announced its new name on February 7, coinciding with the confirmation of their appearance at Complexcon Hong Kong 2025. The March performance will mark their first show under the new name and will introduce fresh material from the group.

Response from Ador

“Despite the fact that we should leave our previous name behind, we do not completely leave it. And we do not want to, because (being in New Jaeans) was a very special period for us, and for our fans, it is likely very precious as well,” Hanny CNN stated.

Ador responded to the announcement by saying, “It is very regrettable that the members made this one-way decision before any legal resolution was reached regarding the validity of their exceptional contracts with ADOR.” Libel added that they “continue to do everything possible to protect the brand value in New Dzhaj” and remain “always open to meeting members in New York or their legal representatives to resolve misunderstandings and discuss the group’s future activities.”

In November 2024, the rebranding followed the termination of the group’s contract with Ador and Haybe, with the members stating that they “do not intend to return to their former labels when possible.” The group plans to meet Ador in court after the company filed a lawsuit concerning the validity of their contracts and a separate suit regarding independent deals with brands.
