Wunderkind Honors Ket Flint at Coachella 2025
Wunderkind paid tribute to the late Ket Flint during their performance at Coachella 2025 last night (April 11).
Remembering Ket Flint
Flint tragically passed away from suicide on March 4, 2019, at the age of 49. The MC Group, Maxim, introduced the band after they performed 14 songs in the Mojave tent.
During their third performance at the festival, the group showcased a laser display in honor of the deceased vocalist, transitioning into their hit “Firestarter” from 1996, which included snippets of his vocals. They had done a similar tribute at last year’s Reading and Leeds festival.
As part of their set, they also delivered a powerful lineup of songs from their extensive catalog, including “Breathe”, “Omen”, and “Smack My Bitch Up”. You can watch their full set here.

Elsewhere that night, Missy Elliott delivered an electrifying set featuring hits like “Work It” and “Get Ur Freak On”, while Lady Gaga put on a dramatic five-act performance. AG Cook collaborated with Danny Brown, showcasing several tracks and ending with remixes of Charlie XCX’s “Party 4 U”.
Billy Joe Armstrong from Green Day also joined Go-Go on stage for a rendition of his classic hit “Head Over Heels,” and disputes arose during the NoteCap set when the online stream was abruptly interrupted, leading to fan outcry.
Later today (April 12), performances from Travis Scott, Green Day, Charlie XCX, Jimmy EA-Mir, Claire, Japanese Breakfast, Sam Fender, Weezer, and many more are set to take place.
YouTube is streaming the festival live via the Coachella YouTube Channel. The Coachella 2024 field was headlined by Lana Del Rey, Dodge – Kotu, and Tyler, the Creator, marking a memorable return.
