Koko’s Release and Chart Expectations

Koko was released on Friday (March 21), and according to the official chart company’s update on Monday (March 24), it is poised to become the group’s second number one album.

Frontman Tom Rilant spoke with NME in December about the pressure to replicate their previous success with the “Replacement Therapy of Anxiety.” “Of course, the pressure has returned,” he mentioned. “Can we ever do it again? Do we want to? Yes, and we will stop at nothing to secure the second number one album for Leigh. Getting the first number one was a breakthrough for us, despite all the battles we’ve faced with access.”

“Everyone seems to be really enthusiastic about the new album. People are already getting tattoos of our art.”

“Koko,” named after Keepon On Hearn On, features the single “Ragdoll,” which includes a guest appearance by Chad Kroeger from Nickelback—a collaboration that emerged while they were touring together across the UK and Europe last year. Other guest artists on the album include Frank Turner, Shed Seven, and Reverend and The Makers.
