Rita Bron, Managing Director of the Eden Sessions, stated, “The Libertines are a band whose history is intricately woven into the fabric of British music—bold and uncompromising. Welcoming them to the Eden Sessions, which promises to be an unforgettable celebration, feels incredibly special. The event will combine the line-up with ‘confidence’, making it perfect for a season of unforgettable sessions.”

Other performances at the Eden Sessions 2025 will feature Biffy Clyro on July 9 and 10, with special guests Nova Twins, Madness on July 12, and Deftones on June 26. Gary Barlow, The Script, and Texas will also perform this summer.

Recent Cancellations

The Noteecap show at the Eden Sessions was canceled in late April following a tumultuous time for the band, as they faced challenges from politicians concerning their festival appearance. This came after counter-terrorism police confirmed an investigation into personnel from two of the band’s previous shows.

The band quickly announced a replacement show in Plymouth for the same day, but it was also canceled amid the police investigation. Other planned performances, including festivals in Germany and dates in Hamburg, Cologne, and Berlin, were similarly called off.

As for The Libertines, they have several other outdoor shows scheduled in the UK this summer, including stops in Glastonbury, Dreamland Margate, and The Piece Hall in Halifax. Find remaining tickets here.

Pete Doherty will also release his new album, *Feed Better Alive*, on Friday (May 16), which you can pre-order here. Additionally, he announced a performance at this year’s Great Escape Festival in Brighton. Tickets can be found here.

In an interview with NME, Doherty shared insights about the theme of his upcoming album, stating, “Being retired can be inspiring, but at the same time, you don’t just sit at home and sing these things to yourself. You still go out there and sing them. I think this record has enough melancholy to fill Jerry Jerry Good.”
