The Knee Cup Condemns Irish Prime Minister Michelle Martin for Trump’s Meeting and Its Impact on Palestinian Position: “A Serious Disservice”

Criticism of the Prime Minister

The knee company has voiced its disapproval of Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin following his recent meeting at the White House with US President Donald Trump.

Political Stance and Solidarity

The Belfast rap group disagrees with Martin’s remarks during the Oval Office gathering, where he praised Trump’s approach to peaceful initiatives in gas. This comes in stark contrast to other Irish political parties, including Sinn Féin, which have decided to boycott St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Washington, D.C.

Speaking with Joe, Móglaí Bap from Noteecap stated: “Just like the Irish, especially, all we can do is come together, show solidarity, and put pressure on the politicians we have in Ireland. To hell with Micheál Martin, cozying up to Donald Trump and laughing at his terrible jokes. We need them to be held accountable, as they should be embarrassed about how they will be remembered in history.”

He continued, “Sometimes we feel a bit powerless, but we can continue to apply pressure on people like Micheál Martin, who seem eager to go to America for a few bucks. I believe that maintaining this pressure and continuing to speak about Palestine is the best course of action we have for now.”

DJ Próvaí, a member of the group, also shared his thoughts on Martin’s behavior: “He is despicable. He is a coward of the highest order. The way he behaves signifies that he thinks this is just a game, but it is not.”

The group previously raised nearly £100,000 for a voluntary gym at the Aida refugee camp in Palestine. During a recent performance in Melbourne, they were presented with the head of a statue of King George V, which was removed during the King Charles birthday celebrations in June 2024.
