Horrors Announce New Album
Horrors have teased their sixth album “Night Life”, set for release through Fiction Records, with a brand new single 'Ariel', the first track from the upcoming record.
New Chapter for the Band
This release marks a new beginning for the group, now operating as a reformed ensemble, featuring vocalist Faris Badwan and bassist Rice Webb, alongside Amelia Kidd on keys and Jordan Cook from Telegram on drums. This will be their first album without all five original members.
“Ariel” holds a special place for the band, as they explain, “This is probably not like any song we wrote before; it seems to herald the start of a fresh chapter. We continually aim to explore new sound territories and discover innovative ways to express ourselves — this is what we love most about Horrors. “Ariel” emerged as a strong studio creation; after laying down the demo, we began to refine it into something more nuanced with Iva on Holy Mountain. Amelia then added her unique blend of chopped rhythms and vocal harmonies, and it felt like we reached a new artistic place — the horrors of the future.”
