The Early Purple Unveils New Indie Folk Single With Sam Fender on Backing Vocals and Instrumentals

Early Purple has just dropped his latest single “Greek Key”, featuring guest appearances from Sam Fender.

The track showcases indie folk talent from Northumbria, with Matt Saxon collaborating with Fender, who contributes backing vocals, along with mandolin, bouzouki, and acoustic guitar. Saxon shared the song with Fender while refining the lyrics and instrumentation.

In 2024, Early Purple has scheduled performances at the BBC Proms, a residency at Glasshouse Summer Studios, and tours in support of Flyte, Efterklang, and John Francis Flynn.

Saxon, who is currently part of Little Comets and hosts the Hide & Speak podcast, has also toured with Hector Gannett and played at various festivals throughout the year.

Early Purple is set to headline The Glasshouse in Newcastle on December 11th.
