On Sunday (January 26), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of 956 individuals. This occurred following Trump’s stringent actions regarding immigration, as he signed several executive orders to enforce his policies.
Gomez, a well-known advocate for the rights of undocumented migrants, produced and appeared in the 2019 documentary Undocumented and shared her family’s experiences in an article for Time magazine. She later deleted her post after facing criticism, issuing another statement: “Obviously, it is not normal to show sympathy for people.”
Reactions to Gomez’s Statement
Speaking with Fox News, former border czar Trump Tom Homan reacted to the video, stating: “We will do this work, and we will ensure that the laws of this country are upheld. If they do not like it, then go to Congress and change the law.”
