The Black Keys Make a Comeback with New Groove-Driven Single “Trampled in the Evening”

Black Keys share a new single “At Night To.”

Collaboration with Daniel Tashian

The duo – Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney – teamed up with Grammy-winning songwriter Daniel Tashian on this track, which emerged from a joint writing session.

Insight from Auerbach and Carney

Auerbach shares: “This is deeply rooted in Groove. The night began with the chord progression that Daniel and I developed, and everything just fell into place. It was a collaborative effort, and we wrapped it up in about 30 minutes.”

Carney adds: “We’ve never collaborated with songwriters like this in Nashville. It’s surreal, as Daniel was one of the first people I met when I moved here over a decade ago. But we challenged ourselves to work with new co-writers, and we created something special with Daniel. We are now finalizing the album and planning to release more tracks ahead of the tour.”

Upcoming Album and Music Video

The video, directed by “Running Bear,” showcases the antics of hotel guests as they raid closets, drink alcohol in their rooms, and dance in the hallways.

This single precedes the group’s thirteenth studio album, “No Rain, No Flowers,” which is set to be released later this year through Easy Eye Sound / Warner Records.
