New Single Release
The chip shared the new single “Tonight (I'm afraid),” the final preliminary viewing of their upcoming album “We All Angels,” set to be released through Dead Oceans.
Collaborative Efforts
The track follows the previous singles “baby,” “not heaven, not hell,” and “special.”
“We are all, angels, we see that the group works with producer Will Yip, known for their work with Turnstile, Title Fight, and Mannequin Pussy, which also headed their “Mental Dance.” The album was mixed by Rich Kostya, whose credits include Fiona Apple, “My Chemical Romance,” and “Vampire Weekend.”
“Most of us were really not experienced musicians when this group began,” Moss explains. “Thus, it was very microbes, like the first hardcore group of a child, which is amazing. But now we still do not know what we are doing, but we have the best idea of what we want to do.”
Bassist Bailey Lupo adds: “The song, written on a new entry, was the most collaborative effort to date in the history of the group. Everyone brought so many ideas to the table, and we were able to explore all this without rushing. We all have such eclectic tastes, influences, and personalities, and you can really hear this in every corner of this album.”
“Hardcore and punk influence how we work, what we want to do as a group, and how we engage,” says Green. “At our core, we are a punk and hardcore band, regardless of how the song evolves and changes.”
