SZA talks potential collaboration with Taylor Swift
SZA revealed that Taylor Swift was “open” to the idea of collaborating on a project together.
Insights from SZA’s recent interview
Last night (March 21), the “Snooze” singer appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where she reminisced about their conversations at the Grammy Awards, suggesting the possibility of a partnership.
“It is so interesting for me,” SZA shared. “Every time she approaches me, I’m just like, ‘Well, this is happening because it’s Taylor Swift.’ I think I mentioned that I’d love to write with her and create something together.”
“I love her stories. She was receptive to this idea,” SZA added about collaborating on “Kill Bill.” “I think she is amazing. She is such a boss.”

This isn’t the first surprising collaboration for SZA recently. Back in February, Lizzo mentioned that they nearly formed a rock group called Pussy Lasers, alongside an “incredible other artist” who remains unnamed.
During her chat with Hudson, SZA also praised Chappell Roan, Dove Cameron, and Gracie Abrams for their songwriting. “I love storytelling in music. There’s something profound in the way they share their experiences,” she elaborated. “It’s a deep, personal form of storytelling that resonates.”
In other news, she will be touring with Kendrick Lamar at the end of the year. The duo recently performed at the massive Super Bowl halftime show. This follows the release of “SOS Deluxe: Lana” – the luxurious edition of her 2022 album, which arrived in December after nearly a year of speculation.
In a four-star review of the album, NME noted: for the most part, the confessional singer-songwriter does not merely revisit previous themes but also advances into her next artistic phase. The songs in “Lana” display a clearer emotional and narrative progression, showcasing her personal growth at the forefront. The record reflects the evolving music industry, with formats in flux, and SZA is also undergoing a transformation.
Meanwhile, Swift was recently honored at the iHeartRadio Music Awards 2025, where she received an award for Tour of the Year. Over the span of 21 months, she completed an impressive 149 shows, and at the mid-tour point, she made history as the first artist to gross over $1 billion from a tour (approximately £796 million).
