Sum 41’s Final Performance
Sum 41 took to the stage for their last living show at the Juno Award ceremony in Vancouver on March 30.
A Celebration of Their Legacy
The band showcased a blend of tracks from their extensive career, featuring “Landmines” from their recent double album “Heaven: X: Hell,” as well as classic hits like “Fat Lip,” “Still Waiting,” and “Too Deep.”
During the event, Sum 41 was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, with Joel and Benji Madden receiving special recognition. In accepting this honor, frontman Deryck Whibley addressed the crowd, expressing gratitude, “Thanks to our families for their love and support over the years, and of course, a huge thank you to all Sum 41 fans for being with us through the highs and lows.”
Whibley further remarked, “The entire journey made every success feel even more significant. We are incredibly proud of this experience; it was thrilling, it wasn’t without its risks, but above all, it was genuine.”
This performance served as the closing chapter of Sum 41’s farewell tour, which was announced in May 2023. Their final show in the UK was held at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on November 2, 2024.
