This spring, Wilson will grace the London Palladium stage for four nights—from May 12 to May 20—and has confirmed that Clinton Baptiste, Al Murray (playing a pub landlord), Stuart Lee, and Frank Skinner will be supporting him.
Combining Music and Comedy
Embracing unique newcomers, the musician, who describes his latest tour, “Review,” as a platform to celebrate his new album, said he was inspired by his love for comedy to create a “distinct aspect for each night.”
His latest record, which explores space themes, was released earlier this month, and he now plans to embark on an extensive tour across Europe, the UK, and North America. Visit here for tickets and check below for the full list of dates.
“I decided to try something I’ve thought about for years, and I have comedians opening the show,” he stated in a press release. “I’m a big fan of comedy, and I often see my audience at stand-up shows, usually surprised to find out I’m not entirely devoid of humor in my music!”
“I approached four of my favorite British comedians to invite them to open one of the Palladium shows. It’s an honor to say that they all accepted. Each has a different style, and all of them can poke fun at me, my music, and the audience.”

Stephen Wilson recently spoke to NME about his efforts to reinvent the guitar solo within the framework of his new spatial LP, celebrating the musician’s return to Progressive Rock after more than a decade.
The so-called “overview effect” experienced by astronauts occurs when they first view Earth from space.
“Astronauts experience deep insights,” said Wilson to NME. “Some have very positive reactions, while others react negatively. I believe it’s beneficial to accept that life is this random, strange gift that’s meant to be enjoyed. As for the universe, it doesn’t concern itself with your life.”
