Sterelab Teases New Music
Sterelab has hinted at new music on the horizon after sending enigmatic packages to fans in their recent post.
Formation and Reunion of the Band
Members of the seminal ART-ROCK group, Lætitia Sadier and Tim Gane, reconnected in 2019 with former bandmates Andy Ramsey and Joseph Watson after their initial run from 1990 to 2009.
Since then, the group has embarked on a global tour and reissued their albums on vinyl as special editions, featuring rare demos and extensive liner notes. Their last release was “Not Music” in 2010.
Hints of a New Album
Now, the band appears to be teasing an upcoming album. As first reported by Brooklyn Vegan, the group sent its “Laboratory Report” newsletter on March 31, which included a link to an image labeled “Undesirable material from Sterelab.” Subsequently, the band shared an Instagram post featuring a photo of a record.
On April 2, UK fans received “Undesirable Sterelab material” that included a 7-inch record with a track titled “Air Problems” on one side and some instrumental content on the other.
Reddit user Ape1720 provided details about the package he received and shared a clip of the track “Air Problems.” Other Reddit users speculated about the significance of words such as “plastic melodies,” “Warp,” “Sadier,” “Tim Ramsay,” and “Album” found in the search.
Fans on the forum deliberated whether these could be song titles from the new album, with “Warp” seemingly referencing Warp Records, noted to be printed on a package, according to First Floor.

Earlier this year, the group announced a tour for 2025, commencing in Europe from May to June, followed by North America from September to November, with a final stop in the UK in December.

“These new editions will feature the 2019 remastered tracks but will no longer include demonstration discs or notes with the tracks,” he stated in an Instagram post. “Demos will be archived on our website, and demo versions will still be available for streaming or purchasing in digital format.”
