Support for Women and Firefighters
Proceeds from the Jani Foundation charity concert will benefit women affected by cruelty, neglect, violence, and those impacted by the Los Angeles forest fires. The event also invited over 100 firefighters through families of fallen heroes and the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Aerosmith announced their abrupt tour retirement in August last year after Tyler suffered a serious vocal cord injury. The last live performance by the group occurred during their “Mir-Aut” tour, which began in 2023, but they managed only three nights before postponing the remaining dates due to Tyler’s larynx injury.
After the news broke about Aerosmith’s tour concluding, many celebrities expressed their sadness. Brian May from Queen mentioned that the announcement “brought a tear” to his eye, while Sammy Hagar reflected on his long history with the band, calling the retirement a “great damn loss.” It was later confirmed that fans could view the band’s final performance on YouTube in 4K quality.
Tom Hamilton also provided an update regarding the decision-making process from last year: “The choice was made by a team that involves the band and our leadership… We do not know what the future holds, but it will not involve a tour.”
Hamilton stated that he “cannot imagine” the band continuing with a new singer, adding, “I am sure we all have music in our future, and it will unfold as we haven’t planned yet. I played in a group with good friends. We have a bunch of really good songs, and we hope to release them soon and, hopefully, plan some concerts.”
