Last week (March 21), British musician Sekou shared on Instagram Stories that he was in the studio with Justin Bieber. In the posts, however, Fred again … was also seen in the same space with them.

The messages were rapidly circulated on social media and Reddit, sparking discussions about whether Fred again … and Bieber were collaborating on new music or simply enjoying a friendly jam session.

Although nothing has been confirmed or announced, a collaboration between Bieber and Fred again … would not be too surprising. The two have worked together in the past, particularly with Ed Sheeran, who is also a co-writer and collaborator with Fred again …

It seems that Bieber has been working on new music at least since October, sharing new images and clips from the studio. In September, Mk.gee revealed that he was collaborating with the singer on new material while Bieber was “searching” for his next phase.

“He is looking. Everything that comes out of his mouth: it is pop music. You can really do some wild things, just because it represents something,” said Mk.gee at that time.

Justin Bieber’s last album, Justice, was released in 2021. In a four-star review, Will Lavin wrote for NME: “From the ballads to the heartfelt moments, the hopeless romantic with a tendency towards self-reflection and solving world problems is back. Hooray!”

In the four years since his last release, Justin Bieber has faced health challenges, revealing a diagnosis of Ramsey Hunt syndrome in 2022, which led to partial facial paralysis. He welcomed his first child and dealt with various life changes during this time.

The musician has also been the subject of speculation on social media regarding drug use, as he recently posted photos that raised eyebrows. His representative has denied any rumors regarding drug use.
