Spotify Singles Franchise Surpasses 10 Billion Streams.

Spotify Singles Achieves a Major Milestone

Original musical music on Spotify, known as Spotify Singles, has surpassed 10 billion streams globally.

This initiative invites artists to reinterpret their existing songs and cover tracks of other artists in Spotify’s recording studios. Since its inception, Spotify Singles has become the platform’s longest-running original music program, featuring 750 artists from 45 countries who have created over 1000 unique recordings.

To mark this achievement, Spotify is expanding access to its Stockholm Studio, opening its doors for artists across Europe for the first time since its launch in 2018.

Notable Collaborations and Successful Singles

Italian rock star Damiano David, the vocalist of Måneskin, recently recorded in the accessible studio with a cover of Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus' Nothing Breaks Like a Heart on Valentine's Day.

“We are absolutely thrilled to announce the opening of our Stockholm Studio, where it all began for us,” said Federica Tremolada, CEO of Europe at Spotify.

“This is not just about having another recording space; it symbolizes our commitment to the rich tapestry of creative diversity and collaborative spirit flourishing across Europe.”

“We are excited to reach the 10 billion stream milestone for Spotify Singles,” said Brian Johnson, International Head of Artist Partnerships at Spotify. “Since 2016, the program has provided a platform for hundreds of artists to express themselves, engage their fans with fresh music, and connect with new listeners worldwide.”

“The opening of our Stockholm Studio for artists across Europe – in celebration of our 10 billion stream milestone – highlights Spotify’s ongoing commitment to nurturing talent from Europe and beyond, giving artists the opportunity to earn a living from their art and share it worldwide,” added Tremolada.
