Upcoming Album and Disturbing Release

The band is set to unveil their new LP “Tsunami Sea” this Friday (March 7) and has teased the album with three previous singles: “soft spine,” “perfect soul,” and “without loss, without love.” However, it seems they released the fourth and final track titled “Crystal Roses” today (March 3) on streaming platforms.

Following this, Laplante took to her official X/Twitter account to address the unexpected release, stating that SpiritBox had not given their approval for this single and were unaware it was being made available.

Fan Reactions and Anticipation

In another twist, some lucky fans of SpiritBox received their copies of “Tsunami Sea” a few days ahead of the official release.

“In general, a very solid album. I don’t dislike any of the songs here; it’s absolute peak work from SpiritBox. Courtney absolutely kills it on these tracks,” a fan shared on Reddit after getting their vinyl edition before the release date.

In a conversation with NME, Laplante discussed the challenges of waiting for the arrival of “Tsunami Sea,” stating, “It was so surreal. We always joke that there’s some kind of pressure around: ‘This new SpiritBox (song) will become the next big thing.’ I just want people to hear our music. We do breakdowns and cry over them; this is all I want to share. This is not the second coming of the ‘metal Jesus Christ’ – this is just us. It was scary to meet that expectation.

“Now, I am much more accustomed to this lifestyle and focused on creating music, which is what I always wanted to do. It’s much less complicated than juggling a 9-5 while trying to earn a living. After fighting (for most of your life) to do what makes you happy, I think I will need a lot of time just for this – I am very grateful for it.”

In other news, SpiritBox is scheduled to perform this year at the Download Festival and Louder Than Life Festival.
