Somebody’s Child Unveils New Single, “Last Night I Held Your Hand.”

New Single Release

Someone’s child has released a fresh single titled “Last night I held your hand” and revealed plans for their upcoming in-store performances and tour across Germany.

Upcoming Album Details

This track serves as the second single from the anticipated album, “When youth leaves”, recorded in collaboration with Grammy Award-winning producer Peter Katis, renowned for his work with artists like The National, Interpol, and Frightened Rabbit.

According to frontman Sian Godfrey, “Last Night I Held Your Hand” was the initial song to emerge from the writing sessions for this album. “We crafted it during an autumn/winter trip to West Wales, and it set the tone that would eventually shape the album. It retains the innocence of our earlier releases while infusing new energy into the album’s direction.”

Elaborating on the album’s themes, Godfrey comments: “If our debut album was about escape, this one centers on remaining and reflecting. It’s akin to returning to your parents’ home and spotting something you haven’t seen in years, perceiving it differently with age. You may now be the same age as when it was purchased, yet it holds significance in your parents’ past, even if you weren’t there during its use. Like the yellowing of a book, it becomes vibrant over time. By acknowledging this, we infuse it with meaning.”
