Snoop Dogg’s Controversial Performance
Snoop Dogg has faced criticism for his performance at Donald Trump’s Crypto Ball just days before the inauguration of the president-elect.
The event occurred on Friday (January 17) at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. The VIP reception was hosted by Trump’s crypto czar David Sachs.
Among the speakers of the evening was Snoop, despite his previous vocal criticism of Republicans. His appearance led to backlash from some fans online, claiming it was “going too far.”

Historically, Snoop has accused Trump of being “racist” and compared him to the devil, but in recent years, he has moderated his tone, stating he holds “nothing but love and respect” for him.
After Trump’s election win in 2016, Snoop asked Drake for assistance in relocating to Canada. In 2017, he criticized Trump in his “Lavender” video, portraying the president as a clown while pointing a gun at him.
Trump later retaliated on Twitter, asking: “Can you imagine what the outcry would be like if Snoop Dogg, failed career and all, aimed and fired a gun at President Obama? Prison time!”
Snoop’s 2017 album “Make America Crip Again” featured lyrics condemning Trump in the title track: “Don’t act like I’m with that bullshit your president was tweeting.” The album’s alternative cover controversially depicts Snoop standing over Trump’s corpse.
Trump’s second inauguration is scheduled for Monday (January 20), with the event set to be indoors due to predicted dangerously cold weather in Washington, DC.
Confirmed attendees for the inauguration include Carrie Underwood, Village People, Kid Rock, and Billy Ray Cyrus.
Recently, Trump also named Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, and Jon Voight as his “special ambassadors” for Hollywood.
“They will serve as my special envoys to bring Hollywood, which has lost a lot of business over the past four years, back to foreign countries, BACK – BIGGER, BETTER AND STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!” Trump stated.
“These three very talented people will be my eyes and ears, and I will carry out what they suggest. This will once again be, like the United States of America itself, the Golden Age of Hollywood!”
