Slow fiction shared their latest single 'When', which is part of the Speedy Singles series and released through Speedy Wunderground.
Theme of Disappointment
The recent Quintet track, New York, presents an urgent and confrontational three-minute piece that grapples with themes of disappointment.
“I believe everyone experiences that moment when their expectations—whether it be for peace, relationships, or the audience they perform for—fall short, sending them into a chaotic downward spiral,” explains vocalist Julia Vassallo. “The feeling of losing faith is as desperate as falling into a pit of snakes. All the snakes have familiar faces, but their words come out distorted. I think this song attempts to navigate the depths of disappointment or, perhaps, even find a way out.”
The single will also feature the B-side DUB Remix by Dan Carix titled “Who is Dub.”
