Shopify Closes Kanye West’s Yeezy Website
Shopify has shut down the Kanye West Yeezy website following the sale of a Swastika T-shirt as the sole item in the online store.

Recently, the rapper, now known as Ye, presented a starkly controversial collection, featuring just one product: a white T-shirt emblazoned with a large swastika, labeled as “HH-01.”
This clothing item was priced at $20, with the designation “HH-01” possibly referencing the phrase “Heil Hitler,” associated with Nazi symbolism.

On February 11, Shopify, the e-commerce platform powering the Yeezy site, concluded that they had violated their terms. A statement from a Shopify representative shared with CNN revealed, “the merchant did not engage in legitimate trade practices and violated our policies, resulting in their removal.”
“All sellers are obligated to follow the rules of our platform,” they reiterated.
Ye’s Yeezy website drew attention during the Super Bowl on February 10, following a peculiar advertisement that aired during the NFL’s annual game commercial breaks.
The ad featured Ye humorously proclaiming, “I spent all the money on advertising for these new teeth, so I had to pull out my iPhone again. Um… go to yeezy.com.”

Numerous artists and public figures have condemned Ye for his offensive messaging. American singer-songwriter Matthew Coma took to his official Instagram account to promote a t-shirt featuring the words “fuck you” across the chest, stating, “Hey, I can also make a shirt – link in bio, all proceeds to Holocaust charities,” he added in his post signature.
Charlie Puth also addressed Ye on Instagram Stories, urging him to halt the promotion of “incredibly dangerous” messages. Friends star David Schwimmer had previously demanded action against the rapper for his hateful “Nazi” comments, asserting that “silence is complicity.”
During the weekend, the “Heartless” hitmaker shared a series of perplexing and contradictory tweets on X/Twitter before his account was disabled. The rapper and fashion mogul posted a mix of apologies to the Jewish community for his previous anti-Semitic comments and proclamations declaring himself a “Nazi.”
He even stated on Twitter, “I love Hitler,” praised billionaire and X owner Elon Musk as “the most lit man who has ever been on Twitter,” and asserted that all other people were observing him. Musk himself faced criticism and accusations of Nazism earlier this year for making two Nazi gestures during Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) also addressed Ye’s offensive conduct. The organization tweeted: “As if we need additional evidence of Kanye’s anti-Semitism, he decided to sell one item on his website—a T-shirt decorated with a swastika. The swastika is a symbol adopted by Hitler as the principal emblem of the Nazis.”

“As if that wasn’t enough, the T-shirt is branded on Kanye’s website as ‘HH-01,’ which is a code for ‘Heil Hitler.’
Additionally, they stated: “Kanye has been tweeting anti-Semitic remarks nonstop since last week. There is no justification for such behavior. Worse, Kanye promoted his website during the Super Bowl, reinforcing its visibility beyond his already massive social media audience.”
Prior to the release of the offensive T-shirt, the “Heartless” hitmaker was also criticized for selling a hoodie that bore a resemblance to one worn by Cassie during an incident in which the disgraced rap mogul Diddy was caught on film in 2016.

The artist “Carnival” shared an image of what he referred to as a “Love Hoodie” alongside a screenshot from the incident. Reports published by CNN in March showed that the video evidenced Diddy beating his former partner Cassie and throwing an unidentified object from the nearest table.
The footage corroborated the testimony Cassie provided in her lawsuit against the rap mogul, in which she claimed Diddy “became heavily intoxicated and struck her in the face at the hotel, later following her into the hallway and abandoning a glass vase on her after she attempted to leave while he was asleep.”
In other news, Ye recently expressed admiration for Kendrick Lamar’s performance during the Super Bowl, deeming it his “beloved” show after Michael Jackson’s iconic performance in 1993.
