Sharon Van Etten’s New Single
Sharon Van Etten and attachment theory shared 'Trouble', the latest single in anticipation of their self-titled debut album, set to be released on February 7th via Jagjaguwar.
Following the previous single “Southern Life (What It Must Be Like)”, the new track boasts vocals from Van Etten, synths by Tini Lieberson, and bass from Devra Hoff.
Reflections on Relationships
“The challenge lies in coexisting with loved ones who hold conflicting views, leading to the difficulty of not revealing deeper aspects of yourself and your story because of someone else's beliefs,” Van Etten explains. “A significant part of your identity remains hidden from those who love you, as it may not align with what they wish to hear, know, or understand. These painful moments arise when you prioritize loving and respecting another’s needs over your own to preserve the relationship.”
