Sharon Osborn called for the “cancellation of the knee work visa” after she claims to speak at Coachella 2025 “compromised” the “moral and spiritual integrity of the festival”.

This will happen after the organizers of the festival reportedly said that they “blinded” the group at the festival.
The Irish rap group fell into the headlines of newspapers with their performances on the Sonora stage on both weekends of the California festival.
Controversial Performances Spark Debate
For the first time, a live stream of their set was cut out after they voiced their support to free Palestine and also brought the crowd to the provocative anti-Margaret Thatcher. “Not only did it be,” they said later, referring to the refrain Thatcher, “Nash exchange of messages on the US-supported genocide in Gaza, one way or another, never appeared on the screens.”
At the second weekend, the group provided its own live broadcast, and political commentator Hassan Piker broadcast his set on Twitch. Slogans, including Fuck ISRAEL, FREE PALESTINE, “Israel performs genocide against the Palestinian people”, and “it is provided by the US government, which is arming and finances Israel, despite their war crimes,” were demonstrated on the screen when they played.
During their second set, Mo Chara made a short speech, saying to the crowd: “The Irish not so long ago pursued at the hands of the British, but we were never bombed from the fucking sky, and this is nowhere to go.
“The Palestinians have nowhere to go, this is their fucking house, and they bomb them from the sky,” he added. “If you do not call it genocide, what the hell do you call it?” Then the group led the singing of “free, free Palestine.”
Osbourne’s Criticism of Coachella’s Political Stance
Now Sharon Osborne, who has Jewish heritage of Ashkenazi, criticized the group, saying that the execution of the “moral and spiritual integrity of the festival” was “compromised”.
In a long post on X, Osborne said: “Coachella 2025 will remember as a festival that has compromised its moral and spiritual integrity. Goldenvoice, the organizer of the festival, facilitated this, allowing artists to use the Coachella stage as a platform for political expression.
She continued: “While festivals, such as Coachella, demonstrate wonderful talents from around the world, the main goal of music is to unite people. This should not be a place to promote terrorist organizations or the spread of hatred.”

After that, Osbourne continued to criticize the knee cup, saying that the group “raised its performance to another level, including aggressive political statements.” She added: “Their actions included the forecasts of anti-Israeli messages and haters, and this group openly supports terrorist organizations.
“Such behavior is concerning about the advisability of their participation in such a festival, and they show that they are booked for playing in the United States. The reports indicate that Goldenvoice did not know about the political intentions of the knee when they were booked. However, having seen their performance in the first weekend, which allowed them to speak again next weekend, involving the support of their rhetoric and not enough deduction.”
Osbourne also continued to push back against Green Day, which changed the lyrics of a song to refer to Palestine during their set. “Green Day, a group that I personally admire, decided to share my views in the Middle East during their performance by Coachella. Although I respect their right to express my opinion, such discussions would be more appropriate at their own concert, and not at the festival.”
David Draiman also recently commented on Green Day’s lyrical changes during their recent headlining show at Coachella, saying to the group: “I would like you to hear the Israeli/Jewish side of this terrible war. I cannot discuss when you are not. Nothing trial, nothing biased.”
Then Osbourne continued to criticize the scooter of Brown and his defense of the general director of the organizer of the festival Paul Tollett.
She continued: “The scooter Brown, who participated in the organization of the NOVA music festival – a tribute to the victims of attacks on October 7 in Israel – defended Paul Tollett, General Director, when he was present at the Nova exhibition. If Tollett visited the exhibition of a new one, he would have seen that they would be at home that would be aware that they were in the ‘listen’, that they were in ‘Listen.’”
“It is difficult to understand how, if someone saw this exhibition firsthand, they can book a group at their festival, which supports what was done that day and supports the group responsible for this mass murder. Not a single soldier was killed that day, only 1,400 innocent civilians.
“In addition, an independent group of artists, which is a knee cup, includes people of Jewish heritage. It is depressing that they did not use their positions to prevent the promotion of such conflicting messages. Shame on them. As someone with both Irish heritage, the knee performance seems implausible, given the circumstances.
Osborn came to the conclusion: “I urge you to join me in the propaganda of the cancellation of the NoteCap work visa.”
NME turned to representatives of the knee parts, Green Day, and Coachella for commentary.

The long-standing support of Noteecap in Palestine included recent posts on social networks and loud performances on television. In their cover for NME last year, they took their position against what they call the “occupation and genocide” of Israel in Gaza and continued to help collect almost £100,000 for a voluntary gym in the Aida refugee camp in Palestine.
More recently, they got to Israel because he violated the ceasefire in Gaza in Boyne against the “most vulnerable people on Earth.” He followed the “best way to live” by artists who clapped for the Prime Minister of Ireland, calling Michelle Martin “Lizal” and “Bending” after his recent visit to the White House to meet with US President Donald Trump.
Back in January, when their film was excluded from Oscar nominations, despite the group being included in the list, they responded on Twitter: “Oscar Fuck. Free Palestine.”
Their response corresponded to their reactions to news about the ceasefire in Gaza on January 16, where they published: “We must not forget what Israel did.”
They also recently published in response to articles written about their “aggressive” set at Coachella, stating: “Honesty is not aggressive, damn bombs.”
