Seventeen’s New Album Announcement
Seventeen has announced the forthcoming release of a new full-sized album to celebrate their 10th anniversary in May of this year.
Details About the Upcoming Album
South Korean news publication Star news reported on March 24 that the K-Pop boy band is set to release a new studio album on May 26, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of their debut. Currently, their fourth studio album has not yet been launched, with their latest release being Face the Sun in 2022, featuring the title track “Hot”.
While details about the new project are still scarce, their label, Pledis Entertainment, confirmed that all 13 members of the group participated in the creation and recording of the album. This includes Jongan and Wonva, who contributed to the record prior to their military service.
Jeonggan was the first Seventeen member to enlist, beginning his two-year compulsory service in September 2024. Vonu is set to follow suit on April 3, as announced earlier this month.
The announcement of new music for this monumental anniversary is timely, as just a few weeks ago, Hoshi and Vusy debuted as a new unit with their album “Beam” on March 10. This album features the lead single “96ers” along with B-sides “Douper Idiot” and “Pinocchio”, featuring YOON!
This new unit marks the second release from Seventeen in 2025, following the BSS trio of Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan, who released a Teleparty album last month. This record represented their first return in two years, with the title track “CBZ (Prime Time)”.
Teleparty received a stellar five-star review from NMA‘s Carmen Chin: “In just three tracks, Seungkwan, D.K., and Hoshi reignite the lost art of K-Pop, expanding their innovative sound.”
