New Single Announcement
Self -death has released a new single titled “if not now, it is soon” and has also revealed her largest tour in the UK today.
Musical Inspirations and Themes
The fresh track debuted as the hottest recording on BBC Radio 1 and takes inspiration from Rebecca Lucy Taylor’s preliminary experiences. In this song, actress Julie Hesmondhalgh contributes a segment of an oral narrative.
“Personally, it’s essential to wait, as one day you will find yourself in a less painful place. I hope that the world can also discover a similar path to healing. We are discussing hope, perseverance, and patience!” Taylor elaborates.
Upcoming Tour Dates
The “Complex Woman” album, released on April 25 through Polydor Records, follows Taylor’s Brit and Mercury Prize-nominated album. This new entry features collaborations with artists such as Nadine Shah, Minschilda Sanelli, and Sue Tompkins from Life Without Buildings.
The album’s tracklist consists of twelve songs, including previously released singles “Focus Is Power” and “69”. The record features a choir composed of dozens of female voices, including close friends, group members, and collaborators.
