New Release and Upcoming Album
Scraped Ankles has unveiled the new track “Pay the Rent”, which is featured in their forthcoming album “Hard Times Furious Dancing”, set to release on March 28 through the Leaf Label.
Community Engagement and Fundraising Initiative
In conjunction with the new release, the band is launching the OD informing campaign for Gofundtrees on February 21 at 10:00 in Greenwich. This project aims to highlight the actual costs associated with touring in 2025, providing supporters with various avenues to contribute, including HIIT online sessions, energetic dance parties in Epping Forest, and opportunities to purchase branded merchandise and exclusive items from the band.
Exploring Contemporary Issues Through Music
“Pay the Rent” delves into the impact of the ongoing cost of living crisis on the arts sector. Ankin Austin refers to the track as “dancing on the suffering of the situation,” targeting those responsible for Brexit and their effect on touring stability. The new album’s sound has been shaped by the band’s residency at the MOT venue, guiding a more focused direction for their music.
The album will feature tracks including “Pay the Rent”, “Personal Duties”, “Raul”, “Dancing in Transit”, “Where is the Kaganer?”, and “Carefully Observed.”
