New Music and Artistic Direction

The singer-songwriter and Eurovision star of 2022 took a moment from his recent success in 2023 to move to Nashville, where he signed a contract with the theory of an independent artist label.

“White Lies” is the first taste of his new artistic direction, co-written with Nick Lobel (Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, Harry Styles). Watch the video for this sincere, digital shock track here:

Discussing the track, Ryder shared: “I lost some time, making a lot of thought, and came to the realization that, since everything went crazy in 2022, I told myself about the white lies as a mechanism of overcoming.”

“After 15 years of trying to succeed, I faced rejection and was told I wasn’t good enough. This experience threw me into a completely new sphere of success. It was truly incredible, and more stunning than I ever expected when I allowed myself to believe. Amidst the whirlwind of gratitude, I realized I hadn’t always been honest with myself.”

Upcoming Performances and Future Plans

“I needed to feel grounded again, so I stepped away from the traditional label system. I took some of the deepest breaths of my life in Nashville, working on the music I’ve always dreamed of,” he continued. “So, ‘White Lies’ felt like the first single from this new project – a complete honesty clash with the American landscapes I’ve traveled over the past few years. I’ve never felt so sure of who I am as an artist, and I am so proud of this new music. I can’t wait for you to hear it all.”

Ryder performed “White Lies” for the first time at an intimate show in the George Tavern in London, attended by a crowd of 150 people. He also debuted several other tracks at this event, with a larger release expected later in 2025.

Additionally, Bi-Bi-Ssi confirmed last year that Ryder’s manager was engaged to help find a British participant for the Eurovision competition in 2025. Earlier this month, the artist was announced as part of a pop trio, along with their ballad “What the Hell Has Just Happened.”
