The unique drink takes its name from the singer’s hit single released in 2024, and the popular coffee and donut chain will launch it on December 3.
The drink is created by blending Dunkin’s signature espresso blend with flavors of brown sugar and oat milk. An advertising campaign for the product debuted on December 30.
The advertisement, developed in partnership with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s Artists Equity, features Carpenter confidently walking through a Dunkin’ restaurant while “Espresso” plays in the background. Check it out below.
Marketing strategy and success
“When we first envisioned Sabrina’s Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso at Dunkin’, it needed to be more than just a delicious menu item—we aimed to simplify guests’ daily coffee orders,” shared Dunkin’ Marketing Director Jill McVicar Nelson.
“Collaborating with one of America’s favorite pop stars, Sabrina Carpenter, infuses our brand with a vibrant energy that aligns perfectly with Dunkin’s passion for bold flavors and fun. With our new advertising campaign, we’re illustrating that a new drink order can be both delightful and a reflection of life’s brighter moments—which is the essence of Dunkin’.”
“Espresso” debuted back in April, paving the way for her sixth album, “Short n’ Sweet,” which was released in August. It reached the top of the UK Singles Chart and received Grammy nominations for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
In other news, Carpenter recently made her NPR debut on the Tiny Desk series, with her track “Bed Chem” recognized as one of NME‘s 50 best songs of 2024.
Carpenter is poised to bring the Short N’ Sweet tour to the UK next year, including a prominent headline performance at BST Hyde Park next summer. Click here for tickets.
She will also headline Primavera Sound in 2025 alongside Charli XCX and Chappell Roane, in addition to touring the UK and Europe next year with her special guest, cover star Rachel Chinuriri from NME.
