Royal Mail Honors AC/DC with 12 Commemorative Stamps

AC/DC Celebrates 50th Anniversary

AC/DC is set to be celebrated with an official series of 12 special stamps by Royal Mail – see images below.

The stamps commemorate the 50th anniversary of the group’s debut album, ‘High Voltage,’ showcasing the band’s live performances from various locations worldwide.

Details of the Stamp Collection

In total, there will be 12 stamps, with four representing the covers of classic albums: “High Voltage,” “Highway to Hell,” “Back in Black,” and “Power Up.” This selection will be featured on a miniature sheet together.

The stamps are available for pre-order here and will be officially on sale starting February 18.

David Gold, the director of external affairs and politics at Royal Mail, commented: “AC/DC is one of the most successful rock bands in the world. Over the past fifty years, they have produced some iconic rock anthems, including ‘Back in Black’—a timeless rock album. These stamps capture a glimpse of their electrifying live performances and highlight some of their most significant album covers, acknowledging their remarkable contribution to rock music.”

Upcoming Tours and Ticket Sales

AC/DC becomes the eighth artist to receive a special series of Royal Mail stamps, joining the ranks of The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden, Spice Girls, and The Who.

This week, the band also announced their new European tour set for 2025, consisting of 12 dates across 10 countries. Kicking off in Prague on June 26, the tour will conclude with a performance at the stadium in Edinburgh on August 21, marking their first Scottish show in a decade.

Tickets will go on sale at 10:00 AM on Friday (February 7), with the exception of the Paris performance, which will be available next Monday (February 10). You can purchase tickets for the Edinburgh show here and for the remaining European dates here.

These dates come ahead of their North American leg of the “Power Up” tour, which begins at the U.S. Minneapolis stadium on April 10. You can view the full list of dates and purchase remaining tickets for this tour here.
