F1 Film Soundtrack Announcement

Yesterday (May 1), Formula 1, in partnership with Atlantic Records and Warner Bros. Films, announced the artists contributing to the soundtrack for the upcoming F1 film. As per the official announcement on the F1 website, it has now been confirmed that Rosé will write and release an entirely new song for the soundtrack this June.

While specifics about her new track are limited, it marks her first release since the debut of her solo album “Rosie” in December.

Joining her on the F1 soundtrack are Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy, Tate McRae, Ray, Doja Cat, Madison Beer, Sexy Red, and many others. So far, one track has been released from the soundtrack, featuring Don Toliver and Doja Cat.

Details About the F1 Film

The F1 film is set to be released on June 25 in the UK, followed by its premiere in the USA and Canada on June 27. Directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Brad Pitt plays the role of former F1 driver Sonny Hayes, who returns to the sport as a mentor for the rookie Joshua (Damson Idris) in the fictional Apxgp team.

Rosé’s solo album, “Rosie,” was fully released on December 6, 2024, featuring the music video for the single “Toxic to the End.” The album comprises 12 tracks, including the Billboard Hot 100 hit “APT,” featuring Bruno Mars.

‘APT’ later earned recognition from NME as one of the best 50 songs of 2024 and one of the top 25 K-Pop songs of the year. In a four-star review, NME’s Crystal Bell stated that the album “offers a rare and intimate glimpse into Rosé’s life as more than just a star – it shows her as a woman in search of challenges, love, and meaning.”

Following the release of her album, Blackpink announced a 2025 tour across stadiums in the UK, North America, Europe, and Asia. The tour’s final date will be at Wembley Stadium in London, marking a significant milestone as they become the first female K-Pop group to headline the venue.
