RockAway Beach 2026: Public Image Ltd., Dry Cleaning, and Moonlanding Headline Initial Lineup

Public Image Ltd. Joins RockAway Beach 2025

Public Image Ltd., Dry Cleaning, and Moonlandingz have been announced as part of the initial lineup for RockAway Beach 2025.

Winter Festival Returns to Butlin’s

The Winter Festival will be back at Butlin’s in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, from January 2 to January 4, 2026. Tickets, which include three-day festival gaps and placement packages, are available here.

PIL has been confirmed as the first of three headliners, with two additional announcements to follow later this year. John Lydon’s post-punk band is also gearing up for a full tour across the UK and Ireland in May – get your tickets here. Additionally, they will release a “long-lost” alternative mix of the “first edition” on Record Store Day 2025.

The founder of RockAway, Jan Crouter, stated: “It is difficult to overestimate how vital Image Ltd. has been in forming alternative music. From their launch, they have pushed boundaries—musically, visually, and politically.”

“This is the artist we’ve wanted to book for several years,” he continued. “There’s a sense of disobedience and rudeness in what they do, which completely aligns with the spirit of rebellion. It’s a consistent, uncompromising energy, and we are incredibly proud to have them on board.”

Joining the lineup are London Fasting London and Sheffield Neusenix Lunlandz, who returns after nearly eight years with a sensational new track titled “Human Sign.”

Other names in this first wave include punk veterans, members with television ties, as well as artists like Baggio, Bruise Control, Ellman, Spielmann, We Hate You Please Die, Y, and Chris Hawkins.

In a related discussion, PIL’s Lydon recently shared insights on how the upcoming Public Image Ltd tour and the creation of new “hoarse” music is helping him navigate through loss. “Sorrow is energy,” he remarked, echoing the cult track from 1986, “Rise,” which states that “Anger is energy.” He added, “It can either be channeled or allowed to consume you. I find the latter option unappealing.”

The singer also participated in NME‘s regrettably titled quiz, Does Rock Kill Brain Cells?, reminiscing about the time he declined a chance to collaborate with Daft Punk, Kate Bush’s apprehensive reaction to a track he had written for her, and why he finds Taylor Swift “incredibly boring” and has little fondness for Lady Gaga as a person.

Lydon is set to engage in a lively Q&A session titled I Could Be Wrong, I Could Be Right – Q&A Tour. For more details, visit here.
